Kosovo 2013

Jeremy and I have been given the opportunity to travel back to Kosovo this year. We absolutely loved our time there last summer and have been looking forward to returning.

The small country is in Eastern Europe. The primary language is Albanian, but the students attending the camp will speak English as well.

For the past few months we've had monthly meetings with the team to distribute information here and there so the students and parents don't go into information overload at the last minute! We have about 37 people going this year. There will be a few people staying for 2-3 months, but about 30 of us are staying 3 weeks. This year we do not have a 1 1/2 week team coming over during the middle of the trip either, so I am excited we can bond as a full team from the get-go.

While we are there we get to help with an English/sports camp and do humanitarian work around the city. We also get to love on a pretty amazing family while we are there! I know lots of amazing relationships will start and continue from this summer of camp and am anticipating lots of great times. A few of us have been communicating with some of the campers as well as the leaders over there and we can tell from their excitement in the conversations they are ready for us to be there!

I am sure bags have been packed and repacked by each and every one of us going on the trip this year. Our flight itinerary is similar to the one last year: Atlanta/Dulles/Vienna/Pristina.

Stay tuned for more updates on our trip this year.
