Day 4: From Landry and Cameron

Hey it's Landry and Cameron!

First off, shout out to our parents who are missing us like crazy back home! We miss you (almost) just as much (hehehe).

Today has been a busy and eventful day. After an early morning breakfast, we met with our color group leaders to plan for camp, which is starting tomorrow (eep!). This involved planning cheers, games, a talent show act, and other various shenanigans that will ensue this week. All that thinking made us hungry, so then we ventured out into the city (Suhareke... I am typing this just to make sure I can spell it) to get some lunch. The 4 main food groups here in Kosovo are: pizza, pasta, ice cream, and other breads (taken from the National Survey of Landry and Cameron). We like to keep it light and healthy.

Soon after, our group split up and went to different villages to visit and give food to some of the families that the Kosovo Project supports. While we were there we were able to play with the kids and give them picture books about the path to the Kingdom. One of the groups traveling with Berat actually visited a home they had been to the year before. The family there consisted of three sisters, some widowed, living in a house with all of their children. One of the young daughters in the home is severely crippled. Last year she had almost no mobility and could not speak, but when we saw her today she was laughing and clapping with us. The smile on her face brought joy to everyone in the room.

Tonight, Berat has ordered 4 flija for dinner. Flija is a traditional Albanian dish that many of us (Landry included) have not tried, so we are very excited (Cameron says it makes her stomach smile). We are also looking forward to the manuscript study of 1 and 2 Corinthians that we will continue tonight; we have already grown deeper together and in the Lord and are ready for more! God has been so good, giving us a ton of opportunities and experiences in spreading his Kingdom in Kosovo. For me (Landry typing here), the most exciting experience has been when we visited the local (and only) church in Suhareke yesterday. Though it was small, the humility, love, and passion for Jesus that I saw in those believers was absolutely incredible. We prayed together for the Kingdom to grow in Suhareke, and hearing those prayers in Albanian brought both Cameron and I to tears. It was a taste of heaven.

Keep us in your prayers, and know that we are praying for you all back home as well! We know that the Lord is needed in Snellville just as much as He is in Kosovo. We, as a team, are asking God to bring his Kingdom in all the world, and are confident that His message has power. Thank you so much for your support!

Cameron says- Mom and dad, I know you haven't heard from me but here's me saying I'm healthy and happy so no need to worry! Love y'all!
Landry says- Hey mom and dad, I love you both! I'm trying to post pics but wifi is really bad here! See ya later!

We appreciate you reading this message brought to you by two sleep-deprived teenage girls (but don't worry, the sleep deprivation is completely our own fault. Late night convos, you know). Hope to be writing again soon if Laura will let us hack her blog again!
