Monday- Tacky Day
I had the hardest time being tacky. I woke up with all intentions of being tacky. I asked Jeremy what I should wear and he said wear that yellow skirt and one of my green shirts. I couldn't bring myself to put it on, so I debated another 15-20 minutes on what "real" outfit I should wear. Once I finally picked out something, I got a text from Jana. She asked if I was being tacky. Sigh.... I knew then I had to change clothes and the above picture shows what I ended up with. 1 black shoe, 1 brown shoe, Christmas socks, a yellow skirt, my field day t-shirt, a belt, and my hair on the side of my head. My students couldn't take me seriously all day. All day long, one girl said, "I love your hair!" The custodians thought I was a hobo. Dr. Kahrs just laughed at me.
Tuesday- Twin Day
Yahoo! Jana and I went to Rue 21 yesterday after school and picked out a t-shirt, a cool necklace, and a bracelet with our first name initial on it. Our pink shirts said "I've got Georgia on my mind" and it has Florida and Georgia on it... I'll explain, Florida has Georgia on the brain! How cool do we look?! All day long I had people ask me who my twin was. I said you must find the twin. They asked if it was Mr. Gibbs! Then other people said, "Oh I saw someone that looked like you... it was that gym person... um Coach Gentile"... I said, "No, that's the male gym coach! I match Coach Troskie!" All day long we went a little out of our normal schedule just to stand by each other. I went in her 8th and 6th grade class. She came by my room after ELT and when she brought the kiddos back from connections. We had to show off our beautiful shirts as long as we could!
Wednesday- Crazy Sock Day.
I think the better part was the outfit. I felt like I was doing another tacky day, but it was fun. My toes really were ready to be free after the day though. I got lots of compliments on my nice socks. I gave all the credit to Brandi, b/c she gave them to me for Christmas last year! Thanks Pelphrey!
Thursday- Spirit Day
Yes, I'm supporting my team. HMMS- Haymon-Morris Middle School. We had our first football game of the year today. Jana had "duty" so I went out to support her... uh, I mean our team! I didn't watch much of the game because I enjoyed getting to chat, however it was really fun to see all my old kiddos playing. Since now I have students in all grades I know, it's fun to watch the sports now!
Friday- Favorite Team Jersey Day: Hm..... what does that even mean?! I don't wear jersey's. Is this for guys only? Or does that mean team, like Georgia?! Or does this mean I'm supposed to wear a shirt made by Jersey? HELP!........... I ended up wearing a red skirt and a black shirt to support my dawgs! Sorry, no pic.
Thanks for hanging out with me this week as I ventured through the week!
