Let's go back about a month... After Charleston, I got to spend the rest of my spring break relaxing. I didn't do much other than stay at home, which was great.
I did get invited to Micah's egg hunt at his school. I love A Child's World. I went there from the time I was 3 until some time in elementary school where I caught the bus. It's always fun to see my preschool teachers at events. However, seeing the egg hunt, makes me wonder what kind of mom I'd be because I'd have to take off work to go to things like this. Although I would do it in a heartbeat, I feel as if it would be frowned upon at my workplace. So many teacher's kids go there, so it was fun to see how they took off to come.
I scoped out the field of eggs, as any champion egg hunter would. I did this to help my nephew out of course!
I had to have a little talk with Micah about where to go first. We scoped out the yard and I asked him where he saw the greatest number of eggs. He told me. Then I asked him where the next greatest amount was. I then imparted some egg wisdom into his brain about where to start picking up eggs first and then second. He did an excellent job following my directions. It must be because he knows his Aunt Laura is an expert hunter.

Another day, I went up to Banks County to help get ready for our Easter dinner and hunt. Paw-Paw and Patton decided to show us their mohawks.

My sweet cousin Courtney and I did a little wall stenciling all afternoon. We were not aware this would be back-breaking work.

After breaking the head off of one of the throwing knives, Christian nailed the target! Look at the proud smile!
The hunt begins.

Another few weeks go by and it's Mother's Day.
We celebrated Mother's Day at our house this year. For lunch, we had Jeremy's yummy spaghetti. After lunch we played some game in the yard where you threw these balls at these vests. The balls would stick on the vests. It was hilarious and quite entertaining. Check out Miriam's blog for more pictures.
Here are my sisters with our mother whom we love so much. Oh, don't you love Daphne's baby bump?! She's having a little boy, I don't think I have posted that. That will make me an aunt to 6 boys and 3 girls on my side of the family.
