WOW! These are the pictures from the last um....3 weeks. A lot has gone on. School has been REALLY busy. My Master's has been keeping me really busy too. On top of all that, my dad, Rowan (nephew-1), and Daphne (my sister) all had birthdays. We also celebrated my cousin-Hannah's 9th birthday. She's pretty much like my sister, and we celebrated her birthday early. These are some of the pictures from the parties.
During all the birthday's hurricane Ike hit Texas and all the gas stations went dry here in Georgia. One night, Jeremy and I went to eat. I debated on filling my car up because gas was $3.59. HA! I am glad I did because the next day all the stations were dry and Jeremy couldn't find gas! He didn't run out though, but we were pretty nervous. On the way to church that weekend, I saw the sign for $4.09. I hadn't ever seen anything this high in my life, so it was picture worthy! That is the price Jeremy had to get gas. Then good ol' Sonny Purdue told gas stations they had to go back to the price before Ike hit. It's a good thing, it was under $4.00!!! I would hate having a long commute to work right now. We are thankful we live 10 minutes from our jobs.
This is also funny and exciting. Emily and Amy, two of my college roomies (I only had 3), both got engaged in the past few weeks too. I'm SOOOO excited for them and get to be in their weddings. Emily is getting married in December and Amy is getting married next summer. It's such a neat thing to talk to them during this stage of their lives. It wasn't too long ago when I was there myself. I remember not even being able to concentrate on my school work. It's also a cool thing to see how things have turned out... I mean I have been praying for both of them and their husband since my freshman year of college (when I met them). Jeremy and I just got to meet Emily's fiance at the end of August and hopefully we will be able to meet Amy's fiance soon too! Enough for now...
