Time
Summer is quickly drawing to a close. The days are fading quickly and the sun recedes quicker with each passing week. Soon the leaves will turn a burnt orange and fall from the trees. Time is funny, it's something we always want more of but seem to forget how to treasure what we have been given. All too often we look back at the end of a day and go "Where did the day go?" and immediately jump to the conclusion there's not enough hours in the day. I think however it's not a lack of time in the day but rather the lack of our desire to reflect and process what has happened. I believe that for us to fully enjoy the day, we must reflect on what has gone on and think about how it has affected us. This doesn't mean we need to sit in meditation or to take a ton of time to do it, but rather to think upon it as we fall asleep, so that we can understand the day and hopefully be relaxed into it. I know every day isn't good though so may not want to think about it as you're falling asleep and moving onto the next, so maybe you could think about what the next day holds. It doesn't seem like much but maybe it will help us capture those moments in a day that slip by, but make the day special. Little things that if we tried to think about them tomorrow they would be overlooked. I believe that is a way to get more "time" out of a day.
