Last Day of Freedom

Sigh... IT has finally come. Yes, IT. The big thing I have been trying not to say so much, "school." I must start back tomorrow. Jeremy told me tonight that he is very nervous for me. I laughed. Right now I am feeling okay. I am not extremely nervous because I just get to sit in lots of meetings most of the week. Thursday night when I meet the parents at open house will make me a tad bit nervous as I will the big first day of school on Friday. This weekend I have enjoyed my last bit of "freedom" though. Jeremy planned to go to Fogo de Chao on Saturday for my pre-birthday celebration, but it was closed. We were pretty sad about that!!! We ended up going to Red Lobster (we still had some giftcards from Christmas). Saturday night we celebrated Micah's birthday. He will be 2 tomorrow. Today we had lunch at Sonny's (very non-traditional for our family since Momma usually cooks for Sunday lunch). Then Jeremy, my dad, and I went to look at houses. It was a random trip since we aren't even seriously considering purchasing yet, but we found some we really like. After that Sims Salon graciously opened and I got my hair cut. Thanks Momma! We also went to church. Man, we've missed going this summer! Buddy called all the teachers to the front to tell where they taught and then people prayed for us. It's funny how I can be in front of kids all day long and not have a care in the world, but when asked to stand in front of adults/peers, I start sweating!!! I made it through though and didn't collapse! I wonder why I get so nervous. Well I guess I better get over it though because I have to speak in front of the whole faculty on Tuesday. Now to end my summer I will do a little work for my master's program and then read Breaking Dawn. Erin Guillebeau called me today to tell me she finished she book, now I have to pick up the speed on my reading so we can talk about the book. Overall this summer has been a good one. I can't say I was ever bored. I can't say I didn't have any fun. I can't say I didn't get any sun. I can't say we didn't spend time with family. I'd probably rate it a 8 1/2. Last summer topped it though because I graduated, we got married, we got to go to incredible camps, and the summer was MUCH longer. Jeremy rates his summer a 7 1/2 or 8- "It was a good summer, but we were busy." Alright- it's off to finish my summer.

Hey McBryars. You didn't ask, but I'm going to tell you.:) I'd rate my summer an 8, but only because it wasn't long enough. Other than that, it was probably an 11. :) :)

Have a great first week at school, Laura. And don't chase down too many kids your first week. haha
