February the Fast and Furious

We all know February brings out the love people have for one another. How did this all start anyway? I mean how did Valentine's Day get to be in February and not September? Check out our trusty source of wikipedia for some interesting facts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine's_Day

I did learn about how other countries do/do not celebrate the said "holiday". Although most people in the U.S. love Valentine's Day, you readers know we could take it or leave it. The whole idea makes me think about the things that could be done on a normal basis.

Let's take this week for example. Monday night I realized I had a paper due for my gifted class and I hadn't even started it because I thought it was due the next day. I overwhelmed myself when Jeremy said let's go out to eat. To make a long story short, Jeremy ended up bringing home dinner. He even took my car to get gas, went to the grocery store for some food for the faculty meeting, and even went to Chick-fil-a and got me a milkshake. I didn't even ask for these things. These only show part of his character and it wasn't even Valentine's Day. See what I mean? I don't know if this would change the "specialness" of what he did if he did it on Valentine's day, but to so many people getting something on February 14th changes everything!

Off my soapbox now.

The rest of the week was busy too.
1.) I was asked to partner with another teacher and present at our faculty meeting.
2.) I went to the chiropractor after the faculty meeting.
3.) I went to Bible study.
4.) I went to and worked at the boys and girls basketball game on Wednesday and Friday.
5.) I went to observe at the elementary school.
6.) I went to the Wizard of Oz play our school put on. I had 6 of my current students in it. They were amazing!!!
7.) I had to keep forcing Maverick out of his crate to go outside for the day. I ran late every day when Jeremy wasn't home because Mav didn't want to get up! It was raining too so he didn't want to go in the rain. Yes, he's spoiled.

I'm ready for Jeremy to be home tomorrow night though! We enjoy our lives! :)
