This time it's not quite as much as our house or our furniture though. It's a mattress and box springs for our guest bed. We have the frame in the room, but it doesn't have a mattress on it. When the kids were here for the week of snow, they slept on an air mattress. I feel like we need to move up in the world of owning a house and at least have a bed on which guests can sleep!
Shopping for mattresses was quite a hoot. We laid on so many plush and firm mattresses I almost fell asleep a few times! I kept yawning but then I'd move to another mattress to check it out. We ended up picking out one that is just like ours. As of next week or so we can have official guests and treat them properly with a firm mattress thanks to Macy's. I guess I should have mentioned we didn't buy our first one. Jeremy's mom picked it out for us and bought it so I hadn't ever been shopping for mattresses. I felt kind of odd laying down on beds in a store and had to get used to the idea. At first I would only sit on them, but apparently I wasn't getting the full effect! Jeremy even told me to lay on my stomach, since I'm a stomach sleeper, and see if that would change my opinion of the mattress.
