I have been calling 2010 the year of "bigs" since this summer. The theme for SuperWOW was Big and there were lots of BIG things that happened in 2010 to me, Jeremy, and our families.
Here are some of my favorite memories captured by pictures of our BIG year.
January:
Paw-Paw turned 85!
Haven Kate was born and we got to go up to Ellijay to help when she came home from the hospital.

We got a day off of school because of snow. We decided to try and drive around, but we didn't get far because the roads were so bad. Instead, we walked up to my parent's house and stayed with them for the fun of it!

We went to New Orleans to visit Marsha. We had way too many memories-- Off-roading it and driving through an opening in a fence to get off the interstate and the lights going out downtown and getting stuck in the parking lot until the lady broke the gate because she "can't keep these people hostage!" We also got to wait on a streetcar for a LONG time and we also enjoyed some yummy food.

For my spring break, Jeremy and I went to the World of Coke since we hadn't been to the new location.

We also went to a Braves game with Randy and Amanda and laughed at the cow doing the tomahawk chop.

Wedding season came and went. We attended a few weddings but missed others because of camps. We always get our prom poses on for pictures!

Jeremy hid his OWN cake for his birthday. We couldn't figure out where it went!

Camp season--Impact and Superwow-Jeremy got to back the Penske up to the door at Impact. Man it was scary to watch him maneuver through the bushes.

I fainted and fell of this camera stand. I am still paying for the damage and go to the doctor weekly for the pain. The BIG fall.

July:
We finished up SuperWOW. It was a great year with a great staff. We missed being at Jekyll, but we did make some new friends and make some good memories!
We went to Jekyll for their last week of SuperWOW. I hung out with Marsha and did missions everyday. There was a fire in these houses. We got to help them by emptying out their houses and putting their belongings on a truck to put in storage.
My parents and I took a trip up the east coast. We hit a lot of new places. There are too many great memories I can't list them all! You'll have to go back to that blog and read it to hear about our adventures. The BIG trip.

Then we ended our summer by taking our annual beach trip with Jeremy's family.

We continued to celebrate family birthdays- Daddy's, Daphne's, and Rowan's. These boys have to be watched because you never know what they will get into!

We also made an offer on our first house. It ended up going into foreclosure, but it was an adventure. I hadn't even seen the house and Jeremy came up to the school with a video and I signed the papers. What trust!
We started the month off with my fall break. We went to Bobby Cox's farewell game with Randy and Amanda.

Then Jana, Brandi, and I got Atlanta City Passes. All three of us went to the GA Aquarium, World of Coke, and on a backstage tour of the CNN center.

Jana and I went to the High Museum, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and Zoo the next day. We watched the gorillas catch apples for a long time!

We finished off the break with a trip to Ellijay to visit Katherine, Josh, and Haven. We went to a pumpkin patch with them.

My homebase won the door decorating contest for the theme "Drugs are creepy"

We went through all kinds of BIG stuff and we got to sign on our house! We moved in the week of Thanksgiving.

Jeremy said his favorite memory includes us getting and moving into the house. It feels like home! I have to agree with him. I am thankful for the memories we have for 2010. I wouldn't have thought we would have been in a house by the end of the year, but looking back it was a great year and we have been blessed.
We are super excited about what 2011 will bring. However, Jeremy laughs when I ask him about this year because we revolve around the school schedule in terms of years more so than the actual calendar year. In terms of the calendar year, I think it will be a year of newness and changes. Stay tuned for our life in 2011.
