This year we went to Litchfield Beach for vacation. Jeff's side of the family didn't get to come with us this year. We did however get to spend a week with Jonathan's girlfriend, Kristi. We all had a good time hanging out at the beach, playing games, and eating. The beach was pretty nice and calm. The ocean got a little wild a few days. Cindy and I did a little wave jumping and I may or may not have gotten pulled under a few times! We ended up way down the beach so we had to keep walking back towards the tents. While at the beach, I read my second summer reading book and one and one half pleasure reading books. I didn't stay in the sun too much because many of you know how I have been burnt in the past. No thank you Mr. Sun. I like you and all, but I don't like the feeling of being burnt!
Dinner- Night #1 (Fish House)
I'd love to claim this frog, but we didn't make it. It's quite impressive. The creator was our neighbor on the beach each day. We wanted him to make some other sand creations to go along with the frog, but he never did. The frog was finally destroyed our last day. :(

At night we either watched a show (Cash Cab, Deadliest Catch), a movie, and/or played a game. This night it was Mexican Train night. Cindy, Jeremy, and I won the different games we played. On other nights we played What's Yours Like?, The Game of Things, and Table Topics. Jeremy and I both said we really enjoyed game nights. We are both competitive and games can make us mad, but we did have fun. We didn't do a puzzle this year- so sad.

The Ryan house. Jeremy's middle name is Ryan so it was fitting.

For meals, we at at home most of the time. Breakfast and lunch were sandwiches and cereal for me. Two nights Jeremy and I made dinner (spaghetti and homemade pizzas). Two nights Jonathan and Kristi made dinner (crab cakes and tacos). Two nights we went out to eat. Everything was yummy!!!
We then went on a little walk on the beach after dinner one night.

Interesting... It's not just an ordinary trash can.
2nd time Jeremy went to the beach. Of course he kept his shoes on! The first time was when we went one night to walk on the beach. He said that was one of his favorite memories of the trip.
One of the days we went to see Eclipse at the movie theater. We also got to do a little shopping in the outdoor mall there too.
On the way in, Jeremy and I spotted these cool trees. We said they would be a good place to take pictures. Jeremy doesn't like sand, so the tree area made it a little more bearable for him.

Group shots
We left a day early because Jeremy has Hebron's youth camps this week. It was sad, but we knew we needed to get home, do some work at Hebron, wash clothes, let him repack, and let him leave from here b/c it would be a shorter trip. Goodbye beach. Goodbye summer. Hello "normal" life with a routine again.
