Memorial Day/Jeremy's b-day

My family has gone to the Memorial Day parade for as long as I can remember. We used to start the morning off with the Fun Run/5K. After the race, the parade and other festivities would start. We've continued the tradition as we've grown up. This year the family minus the Rosburys and Jeremy were there. We had quite a bit of fun. I had the parents of one of my students, whom I LOVE, sit to the left of me. You know I don't really like seeing kids/parents from school out in public (that's why I don't go out much :) ), but this student is one of the sweetest girls. Everyone agreed that their favorite part was the DHS band that stopped and did Party Rock with choreography! While walking around downtown, we saw some of our old teachers and people from the past.

Hannah taught this sweet boy how to tie his bag to his shorts so he didn't have to hold the candy.

After the parade, we always go to Sonny's and then to the Rents house to swim, cook out, and celebrate Jeremy's b-day. This year was no different. Since the weather has been so nice lately, the pool got to be opened early and it actually had time to warm up before the Memorial Day festivities. It's usually really cold and I can't take it very long, but it was actually quite refreshing.

Jeremy got some giftcards and money. My favorite card was from the Rosburys.  On the card there was a question: "What is this picture?" It was a frame with nothing in it. Do you give up? Answer: "Snow White in a snow storm!"
