Kosovo

We're leaving on a jet plane... (+6 hour time difference to where we are going)


Where: Kosovo (It's a country).

It's settled right in-between Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Albania. More specifically, it's in eastern Europe. It's slightly to the west of Bulgaria, south west of Romania, south of Hungary, east of Italy, north of Greece, and northwest of Turkey. If you've heard about Yugoslavia, yeah, it is where it was. Now do you have a better picture of where we are going?


Who: A team of 20+ high school students will travel with us for the three week trip. About 10-15 more people will join us for a week and a half. Jeremy and I are two of the four leaders of the trip. The other couple (Morgan and Evan) going are some of our friends. After the trip they will be moving to New Zealand. Some other adults will be coming with the 1 1/2 week trip though so we will be alone for about half the time.

When: May 30-June 19

What: We are teaming up with the Kosovo Project and we will be doing a camp there. There are quite a few Albanian high schoolers signed up. During the camp we will play some sports and do English classes. We will also go hiking, do a scavenger hunt, go to a beach, and help some families in the community. We are truly excited about the coming days.



While we are there, I will try to do a little updating but there is but one computer and lots of people.
