Look way behind Ashley... That is our house back in the woods.

Our protective MALE-donkey, Ashley. He watches after the goats!

Um... this is us!
The ladies of the family... Laura, Cindy, and Laurel
Brothers and their lovers!

Happy birthday!

I feel like there are lots of birthdays this week. Today is Jeff's birthday, Wednesday is Aiden's birthday, and Thursday is Momma's birthday. Phew... Lots of celebrating means lots of yummy cake though! We celebrated Jeff's birthday yesterday afternoon. It's fun marrying into a family like Jeremy's. We always have something to laugh about. The stories never get old, but sometimes we do say, "REPEATER" so you better watch out what you tell multiple times. You must make sure there is someone there that hasn't heard the story. Since it was a pretty day we ended up having a little family photo shoot out in the yard. At the party, I met some new people, Jeff's sisters and their husbands. We also got to meet Matthew- finally! He is the newest addition to the family and was born in December. He is Jeremy's step-sister's son.... so yes, that means we are now an aunt and uncle to 8! It was also exciting to see Gregg and Julie. We definitely brought back the "oyster, oyster, clam" song and motions from our summer beach trip, since we had to brag to everyone we remain champions at Cranium. The first picture is the immediate family. The second one includes Jeff's siblings and spouses. The next are the siblings. After all the pictures, Jeff finally got to blow the candles, or spit on the cake, since the candles were trick ones! It's a good thing he's making sure Matthew doesn't get burnt!

Cindy and Jeff just celebrated their one year anniversary too. It's the neatest thing. My dad and Jeff have become the best of friends. Saturday, Jeremy and I were up at my parents house and I heard someone drive up the driveway. I exclaimed, "It's Jeff!" It's so fun to have family as neighbors and have families that like each other. We have our own little coven on Ewing Chapel.

Today, I had the day off of school. I mean shouldn't everyone have President's Day off?! Well Gwinnett didn't have the day off, but Barrow did. I enjoyed hanging out with Emily. Now that she works at a school, she gets these fun holidays off. She got to come over to the cottage and hang out a while. Then we went to the mall and ate some Chilli's. We love chips, salsa, and ranch. How could we take up the chance to go see Paul Blart Mall Cop either? Oh, we couldn't, so we went to see it. We laughed and laughed. It was a beautiful day and so refreshing to hang out with Emily too!
