(This is a little late... I know)... Most of our weekends of the summer were full, but we set aside one of them (Father's Day weekend) for a family trip to North Carolina. Although we knew we would have to leave early to get back for other Father's Day activities, we enjoyed every moment of the relaxation and pretty views. Cindy's friend, Celeste, has a cabin up there and so we all piled in. We enjoyed some great company and food while there too. There was a pretty bad storm right after we got there so we were able to chill while the others arrived.

| Apparently it wasn't strong enough though! |

| Susan, Greg, Mac, and Jeff loved hanging out on the porch and looking at the view. |
Saturday we ventured out on a hike. It was pretty hot until we got into the shade and there were some hills that made me exhausted, but we enjoyed exploring.
After our hike, some of us went into the town to do a little walking around and shopping. One of our stops was to get ice cream. I hadn't had ice cream in a long time because I didn't really want sweets, but I didn't pass up the opportunity. I didn't love it though, which still is crazy to me. That night we were sad to leave, but we tried to stay as long as we could and didn't leave until after dinner.
