We love Brian Regan. He's a comedian and we've loved listening to him since college. A while back I randomly looked up his tour dates and he was coming to Augusta in September. I got hooked on him during superwow one year because everyone always quoted him. I got really excited and then realized it was a Thursday night. With our new schedule, I knew there was no way I could pull off teaching the next day. The show on Saturday was in Birmingham, so I asked Jeremy if we could go. He got really excited about it. I asked Jana and she was up for it too. Her and Robert didn't end up getting to go but we went anyway. It was one of those things that I didn't get my hopes up high about because I didn't know if we'd actually go or not, so when I found out we were going it was hard to believe.
It was a great date night for us. Jeremy and I do a lot together, just us, but this was the first "date" like thing we've done in a while. It's weird that the things we used to do on dates doesn't feel like a date now that we are married. This was much needed time with each other. Our minds are constantly overrun with stuff so it was good to just relax and have fun.
We left after school and drove out there. Scott talked to some people in Birmingham and they recommended a little place in downtown for dinner. We had a yummy dinner and then headed to the show. Before the show, we talked to the couple beside us. The lady worked at a church and the guy and Jeremy got to talking about all kinds of stuff. We had great seats for last minute ticket purchases. We were only like 10 rows back. The whole show was great. We laughed and laughed. Jeremy had tears running down his face the entire time and my cheeks hurt from all the laughing. I'm thankful Jeremy likes to drive and can stay up late because we didn't get home until about 2 am. It was well worth it though! Jeremy said he'd go to another show of his.
