I am currently addicted to Pinterest. Jana and I had a Pinterest Day recently. We ended up spending most of our time at Hobby Lobby getting our supplies. There are so many things we want to make both craft wise and food wise.
We made some pumpkin white hot chocolate. It was one of the best things I've ever tasted!
We also made this yummy spinach and chicken layered quesadilla. It was also delicious.

This was one of my easy projects one afternoon. I took a picture frame and set it up as our weekly calendar. It has definitely been a way to keep my brain organized during b-ball season.

At the conclusion of our can food drive at school, we had a "Turkey Toss". I won't go into explaining all the details of it, but look who got to dress up! These are my two favorite coaches I get to work with!

I've also made some other yummy desserts and Jana and I are in the process of making some neat crafts. Stay tuned for more pictures of completed crafts. Pinterest has sparked a creative side in me, which is exciting. I think it will help me get through the winter months without being bored inside.
Speaking of being bored inside, I haven't been inside all that much yet. The weather has cooperated and I've still been able to run after basketball. On late practice weeks, it's more of a challenge because it is extremely dark, but I'm thankful for our streetlights. I ran 7 miles the other day. I've never run that far in my entire life. I ran for about 75 minutes. The first few miles were tough. It was as if I were running in slow motion or running in my sleep. Then the rest was a breeze. I was sprinting at the end and probably could have kept going, but I decided I needed to go be productive and grade papers. There may be a 10K or a half marathon in my near future. Jeremy and I got to go let Amber's dog out last Saturday. For helping, she gave me some Cuddleduds. These things are amazing! They are like tights/spandex type pants you can wear under running shorts. I always stop running in the fall/winter because I don't handle cold very well. I wore them on Sunday to go running when it was pretty cold and I was sweating.

We had our preseason tournament this week. We won our first game 30 something to 16. The girls did a great job. We got to play in the championship game too. The girls were ahead the entire game except in the last 12 seconds. They came back to tie with us and we had to go into overtime. 3 of our starters had fouled out in the 3rd and 4th quarter so we had our 2nd and 3rd string kids in. We ended up losing, but took home the 2nd place trophy. It was definitely a stressful game at the end. Our girls weren't running plays, kept making ridiculous fouls, and couldn't get the ball inbounds when we actually had possession. I was sitting on the floor in the fetal position at one point! Oh, Jeremy just laughed at me amidst his stress level! You know he gets more into the games than I do.

I asked Jeremy to take some pictures of our house in the fall recently. It's a good thing he did because we had big storm this week and every single one of our leaves fell off the tree. Everyone else in the neighborhood still has their leaves, but we lost all of ours. Our yard looks pretty weird with leafless trees where everyone else's yards still look like fall.
