Micah wanted a bubble gum party for his 5th birthday this year. Miriam did a great job planning it and the McBryars had a great time at the party!
Here was his cookies and cream, gum ball machine cake.
We also had cake pops and cookies.
Then the games began. We had a bag full of gum and we had to make a person.
Here's the competition. Mine definitely was cute but was no match for these other men/women.
Here was the winner. Isn't it creative?!
We couldn't leave without seeing Micah open his presents though!

We gave him a clock/cd player that he wanted. We had to drive to 3 different Wal-Marts to find it though! We should have known the Winder Wal-Mart would have it!

He was so excited about his Nerf gun. Now he can be like the other family members and join in the wars.

My birthday celebrations began in the middle of the week. Jana, Amber, Beth, and I went to a place in Athens called Ted's Most Best. It was a delicious Italian place. My pizza was good! We even enjoyed GiGi's cupcakes for dessert.
Thursday, Jeremy and I were treated to dinner by Cindy and Jeff at McCray's. They got me a Tea Olive for the yard!
Friday, was my official birthday. I woke up at 3 am and smelled pancakes/waffles. Jeremy told me I was dreaming and to go back to sleep. I knew I wasn't, so to make sure I wasn't, I started to get up and check things out in the kitchen. Jeremy said I was ruining the surprise and that he was trying to make some chocolate chip pancakes so he'd know how to make them for my breakfast! He's so sweet.
When I woke up at a more decent hour, I got to enjoy some pancakes.
I went to school and was surprised to see that my whole room was decorated!
Jana was too creative and made me a coupon book where the coupons must be used in a year or our friendship will expire! She also gave me a puzzle with a little birthday poem on it that I got to put together to figure out what it said. Beth got me a Barnes and Noble giftcard. One student gave me a card and a chick-fil-a biscuit. Another student brought me a snow globe from her collection. 6th grade gave me some body wash, m&ms, some chapstick, and brownies/ice cream.

Jeremy and I went to dinner at a place called Antico. It's an Italian place in Atlanta. You order from a menu of pizzas and calzones (all in Italian), then you go sit in the kitchen area to wait and eat. There are about 8 huge 16 person tables and you get to watch them cook the food. Some of the people who ordered behind us had to wait for a table to open up, so we got there at a good time. We ended up talking to the couple across the table from us. They didn't seem like they really wanted to carry on a conversation though, so it didn't last long. Our pizza was delicious and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
