Third isn't the one with the hairy chest

Although many people may be convinced that second is the best, I am here to let you know they are wrong. I am quite convinced third is the best. I've always liked the number 3. It has lots of special meanings, but here are some reasons why I like the number in this current stage.

1. I am a third child, and I don't have a hairy chest. Okay, okay. I know they don't have to mean it literally, but thirds aren't always bad. I was always fine with learning from my sisters. I mean my parents already went through the growing up years so it was like old hat when I came around.

2. We just celebrated our three year anniversary. I mean if someone can live with me three years without wanting to kill me, things are great! :) He is extremely kind. Even though he probably hates peanut butter by now, since he makes me a sandwich every school day, he still makes me one. He knows that's what I want. Also, his flexibility allows him to come bring things to the school if needed. He's been a lifesaver this year!

3. I just finished my third year of teaching, and by far I liked this year better than those before. I didn't have a rough first two years, but I did have some tough students. Yes, I had my share of tough students but they seemed different this year. They were lower and they pulled more out of me every day, but after everything they appreciated the effort I put into it. I know I'm not meant to be someone who works solely with low students because I get frustrated after months and months of teaching the same thing. It's not just being repetitive, it's the "forgetting" what to do. In the end, students were thankful. My wonderful teammate Brandi said, "They are like puppies" in relation to their behaviors. We discipline them but they keep running back. At the end of today, one of the students we poked and prodded all year long ran up to me and gave me a hug and said "I love you!" A football quarterback (as a 6th grader) hugged his teacher and said such kind words. So, yes, year three although it was challenging it was wonderful!

Well, those 3 are good for now!

Oh, I think I forgot to mention...............
SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
