Spring Break

Take a good look at our house... You will notice the worms have covered our roof. We walked outside the other day and our cars were COVERED as was our roof. I always know it's getting to be my favorite time of the year when the worms fall. I don't know what they really are, but we've always called them worms. Daddy always told us, "When the worms fall, we will open the pool." So, yes, it's that time of the year!
This week has been spring break. Jeremy and I talked for MONTHS about what to do for spring break. We thought about going on a cruise with some friends, going to the beach, going to Disney World, and who knows what else. We threw around ideas but we never could make up our minds about what we wanted to do. Well, we ended up not going anywhere. It allowed us to save some money, do some things around here, and relax.

Friday after school and field day- We met Josh, Katherine, and baby Haven for dinner and dessert at Perimeter. We ate a a place called Seasons 52. It was yummy! After dinner Katherine, Haven, and I walked around the mall while the guys shopped in the Apple store. Then we had some Cheesecake Factory for dessert.

Saturday- We slept late and so we got a late start to the day. Jeremy and I went to try out a new restaurant in Dacula (Friends). It was nothing to write home about though. Afterwards we went to the mall to get a basketball. We then drove around most of the day looking for land and houses. Since we ate a late lunch we weren't really hungry for dinner. We grabbed a little something from Arby's and went to Hebron because Jeremy had some work he needed to finish. While I waited for him, I played on his iPad. I started reading Sense and Sensibility.

Sunday- We had lunch with the Robinson's at Ruby Tuesday's since momma had a 100th year anniversary celebration for Dacula schools. Then Jeremy and I played basketball and went to church.

Monday- I went running. I cleaned up the back room yet again. I feel like I could always go through the stuff in that room and throw things away. I also did a little reading and writing as I sat outside since it was BEAUTIFUL! I had a chiropractor appointment in the evening. Then we went to Sonny's for dinner. Daddy joined us. Afterwards, we played some basketball.

Tuesday- I didn't leave the house most of the day. It was a blah day outside. I did stuff around the house. Jeremy and I make shrimp scampi for dinner. The rents enjoyed it with us. We had a Blizzard for dessert.

Wednesday- We had our day of fun. I ran errands in the morning. One of my errands was to get my passport picture done so I can get my name changed on it. Well, guess who else was at Costco when I was getting my picture? Miriam and Stacy! So, I got to hang out with them while I waited. Then our day of fun began. You can read about that below.

Thursday- Miriam and I went to Target, Goodwill, and met Jeremy at the Kani House for a yummy Japanese lunch. I got to lay out after that. When Jeremy got home we went to the Fruitticher's for a make your own pizza dinner. We stayed over there pretty late just chatting while the guys played Halo.

Friday- I got to lay out for a few hours. Then Jenna called and we had Blizzards at DQ and stayed there and chatted for a while. Later on that evening we had a bonfire at the Robinson's.

Saturday- We slept late, went to eat at Atlanta Bread Company, went shopping, watched a netflix movie we have had for two months, and ate a late dinner at Mac. Grill.

Sunday- ?

As you can see, most of the time I did just hang around the house and relax, but we did have our day of fun.

Jeremy had to work in the morning of our day of fun, so I ran some errands. Then we started the day off by going to Chow Baby. It's a wonderful all you can eat, make your own stir fry place. It's cheap and delicious. Then we went to the World of Coke. We haven't been to it since they made the new one. Here was our first picture of the day. Yes, there was a 4D theater!

I love the decorative coke bottles.
Here's us and the coke bottles.
Then a lady asked if we wanted her to take a picture of us. I said, "No, we're okay. Thanks anyway." Jeremy said, "Sure we would, she's shy!" So now I am shy! :)

After our World of Coke adventure we went to a Braves game. We met up with Randy and Amanda. We used to hang out with them in college but haven't seen them since their wedding and that was almost 2 years ago! Yikes! We need to do better keeping up with people. We got there a little early and they were running a little late so we people watched for a good hour and a half. We tried to find couples where the girl dressed the guy. We also made the decision that we need a Braves shirt. I mean we're from here and don't own one! Oh, and we took some pictures.

This is one of my favorite pictures. Just kidding. Jeremy has his eyes closed. If his eyes were opened it would be one of my favs.
Good ol' Turner Field. We were ready to watch the Braves take on the Phillies. We hadn't been to a game since college maybe even high school. It's been a while.
While getting food, we heard our name. We turned around and there was Emily's husband, Brandon. Both he and Emily were there with some people from their church. I mean who usually sees someone they know at a Braves game without knowing they are there? It was great to see them and talk with them a little bit.

Every time they do the tomahawk chop this huge motorized Chick-fil-a cow would do it too. Well, the cow did it really slow and I did it at his slow pace. Randy and Amanda did the normal chop. You can see how much fun this was!

Here are some pictures from the bonfire... Enjoy!

The fire was extremely hot. Not many people got near it. :)
The cousins playing on Micah's new play set. Once they got out of the car they ran straight for it.
I tried to get pictures of people eating s'mores since I love them so much. They are messy though. This was my first s'more of 2010.
The Rosbury's love s'mores too. I think Terren likes them the most! You can see the chocolate all in her teeth. She was so proud.
Micah probably had a s'more at one time, but I didn't catch him eating it because by then he moved on to a doughnut. Notice he started eating from the middle.
Hm... I think Hannah forgot caterpillars aren't for eating! We laughed extra hard when she did this though!
Daphne with her favorite nephew for now. She won't be able to say that much longer without little Onion Ring getting his feelings hurt! Micah loves Aunt D.
My favorite neighbors. Oh yeah, and I'm related to both of them! Daddy and Jeff are the best of friends! Gotta love my dad and father-in-law!
I love my parents!

I love the smore pictures at the bonfire! I wish I could have gotten to see you more than just one night of your spring break. I wonder if a cruise would have been cheaper after all, considering you ate out EVERYDAY!!!:) (and I am craving Sonny's and blizards now thank you!)

The most important question is: Did you get anything good at Goodwill????

Actually Miriam just had to drop some stuff off. I was excited and thought we'd get to shop some, but then Jeremy called and asked if we would go to lunch with him so we didn't have time.

Hopefully we saved a little money. I'm sorry I made you crave those yummy foods!
