This month has seemed to fly by. Although it seems like I had fall break a long time ago, I look back and don't know where the month went. We've stayed busy on the weekends doing who knows what. We have "adopted" my dad as my mom says. A few nights a week we go up to their house and make dinner for us and Daddy. Since Momma is with Paw-Paw a few days/evenings and works the other nights, we decided why not?! There's not a lot of motivation to cook for two people, but when there are three people, it makes it worth it. We've eaten chicken cordon bleu, deer meat hamburgers, fish sticks, salmon, southwestern chicken, and sesame chicken. It's much better than going out each night and spending money. :)
Our dear friend Maggie had her second annual halloween party last weekend. It's really more of a pumpkin carving party and time of fellowship with friends than anything else. We had lots of fun.
Everyone was asked to bring a halloween treat for the party. This is just at the beginning of the party... More was added to the table! All the treats were delicious.

Christy and Brandon decided to carve their own pumpkin. Hers was going to be an Alabama one and his was a Tennessee one... however, she did a haunted house and he did a Vols one.

The yard of pumpkins. The party grew a little from last year. There were some really creative ones this year. There was a tiny firetruck and a pirate with a patch (with fake eyeballs that fell out of the eye hole when you took the patch off)...

Courtney's pumpkin. It reminded me of Where the Wild Things Are. The six-legged monster ended with only four legs! It is as cute as it can be though!
Although I don't always like cold weather, I do love the leaves changing colors. I love this sight as I look out of the front door. Sometimes I get lost in looking at the trees and leaves on the ground and forget what I am doing. I wish I could just sit and think like this more often.

Maverick posing for his picture. Don't you love it?! He had to lick his lips to get ready for his pose.
