Happy New Year!
I had an eventful New Year's eve/day. After we got home from YEC, the next few days were both eventful and relaxing. I totally got off my sleep schedule though. I was staying up late and getting up much later. Oh well... I will just have to get back in the schedule over time. I got to hang out with Emily (back from her honeymoon), played games with Miriam/Stacy/Jeremy, ate the traditional New Year's meal with the rent's, went to the Bodies exhibit and Ikea with Jeremy/Cindy/Jeff (this exhibit was INCREDIBLE), watched some football games, played some Guitar Hero World Tour, watched some movies, and did some other things- none of them pertaining to school!
However, I did go back to school today with the kiddos... Pelphrey is still hanging on (2 weeks until she's due with baby Katelynn Drew- I was told today I'm on the call list!!). My friend Erin Guillebeau at school almost lost her husband over the holiday. He had knee or hip replacement and because of the surgery he had internal bleeding. He was in ICU for 7 days but is trying to recover now. Please pray for their family. On a lighter note, I gave homework over the break, I know I'm mean. The homework was to have an INCREDIBLE holiday break. Today the kids loved going around the class and sharing about their break. At first I caught a couple of students off-guard and they were scared that they didn't do their homework! :)
I started my new master's class tonight (Understanding Linguistic and Cultural Diversity). Wahoo... 3 down... 7 to go!
