Brrrrr...

It's been a cold week. I heard it hasn't been this cold in 6 years. I can believe it! Of the many highlights of the week, this one comes close to the top. Maverick got to sleep in the house with us this week because of the weather. We cleaned out the laundry room so it was just Maverick and the washer/dryer. He loved every moment of it. Our laundry room doesn't have a door on it so we just blocked him in with our kitchen chairs. He used to be a indoor dog but he got a little big and his black hair shed a little much for being inside! We don't have enough room in our house for him and us so he had to start living outside! It has been said by some dear friends that our house is a closet. While I will agree, I do love our house. Speaking of closets I wish the entire house were a closet so I'd have a place to put my clothes. Anyway, Maverick's acclimated to the outside just fine though. He still brings up animals (a bird this week) and other random items like bags, wrappers, and cans. Although I used to think he was getting these things in the woods, I now wonder if he's venturing to the road and digging in people's recycle bins. In the end, keeping him inside this week was a pleasure!

The week started off kind of rough. Pelphrey's long-term sub did not show up on Monday because she didn't know the baby had arrived. I ended up watching both classes for about 30 minutes. Then I got all the sub plans ready so the sub would know what to do. Through the week, I guided our new teammate through the daily procedures of the day. Right now I am convinced she does not like me. I have had to tell her about things we don't do at our school and it's been hard for her to take what I say. I am just watching out for her and don't want her to get in trouble though. She's rearranged the room, brought in lots of stuff from home to decorate, and pretty much made it her own (it was strange at first-but I'm happy she feel at home). The kids have gotten used to her and know she won't play.

We have a long weekend this weekend. Friday was a teacher workday, which was nice. That night some friends and I had a girl's night out. We ate and went to a movie (Bride Wars). We had lots of fun and lots of laughs. Saturday I woke up feeling kinda sick. Jeremy gave me some medicine and I fell back to sleep until about 1 pm. I was lazy all day so I could get well and then we had game night. I am sure the rest of the weekend will be relaxing because I want to get well for the next week. Jeremy is convinced I got sick because I got off my sleep schedule and my body wore down. I believe it is the cold weather. I will admit I am off my sleep schedule though. Sunday and Monday night I watched 24 until 10 and then Tuesday and Wednesday I watched American Idol until 10. It's funny how I'm into tv shows these days. Being committed to watching 2 shows every week is not something I have ever done! I never have watched much tv. We didn't have cable growing up and we don't even have cable now, but I have found some shows that keep me addicted! What kind of shows make you keep watching from week to week?
