Jake Everett Fruitticher was born this afternoon. This afternoon, I was getting ready to leave school because I needed to meet Cindy Fruitticher and talk with her about YEC (Youth Evangelism Conference). If you don't know, I worked under Cindy at SuperWOW for 3 years as her administrative assistant. This past summer, I was all by myself as the administrator while she went to the Fort Walton SuperWOW. Now I am "co-running" YEC this year with Kelli because Cindy is going to be out on maternity leave. Since she lives by my school I was going to stop by there on my way home. Well, I called her and no one answered. I was debating on whether or not just to drop by the house. I then decided to call Jeremy before I made a decision. Jeremy said he had gotten a text that Cindy was in labor. I was like well that makes sense why she didn't answer the phone! Little did I know when I was actually calling her, she was having Jake. She wasn't "due" until December 10th, so she wasn't expecting she'd have him today. He is a cutie though. He's 8 lbs. 2 oz. We went to visit them tonight and they are doing well.
That's what makes me thankful today-- New life. Birth. Birthdays. Families. Happiness. Health.
