All of our students were given te chance to visit the household of one of our campers. Many of the students have incredible stories they shared from their times in the villages. These memories are ones they will not forget. Feelings of fullness are associated with the memories of thankfulness too because these families are so hospitable. Food continues to come from the arrival to the goodbyes.
I went to Kadda's house again this year and then I went straight to Mirelinda's parents restaurant.
They gave us pears and cucumbers from the garden!
We got back to Rozafa and then hopped in some cars because Mirelinda's family came to get us. Her parent's restaurant has a beautiful view of Suhareke. She is the funniest camper I met. She speaks fluently and brings her self-confident humor into the conversation. We laughed and laughed lots before, during, and after the meal.
Her parents, siblings, and other people made a delicious dinner as we delved into some good conversation.
Yummy!
She even asked this side of the table to play the guitar.
After dinner, she asked if we wanted to see her village. It seemed to be the wealthiest village I've seen. While there we got to meet her grandparents, aunts, and cousins. Her cousin brought us his unnamed birds which gave us lots of laughs because they soon got the names Sean and Josh!!! The birds even talked and told Linda that she was pretty, but that she didn't like Josh! Oh Linda had a crush on Josh that was so evident.
We always end our day with resting in the presence of our amazing creator as we do manuscripts, listen to the stories from the day, and listen to testimonies. These moments provide refreshment for our team as they give so much of themselves during the day.
