Although I had a few things tentatively planned for spring break back in the fall, I'm glad all of them fell through because I've really enjoyed being at home relaxing.
Friday night we went to hibachi to celebrate.
I spent most of Saturday in bed reading and blogging while Jeremy cleaned. He didn't want me to have to worry about cleaning on my spring break because he knew that's all I would do! That evening we headed out to Ikea to get some organizational things for Jeremy's offices (work and home). However, we ended up coming back with much more than we expected. Now we get to put it all together.
Sundays are usually pretty busy and we are on the go from sunup to sundown. Jeremy got up and went to church and then we went to my parent's for lunch before the 5:15 service. After the 5:15 we went to eat dinner and then finally were able to rest our heads.
Amber and I went running on Monday morning. It was a beautiful morning and the weather was perfect, not to warm and not to cool. I spent the rest of the day relaxing and making a presentation to use for the Promethean training at Jeremy's school. Momma had surgery in the morning so I stayed close to home just in case she was up for visitors. I called Daddy in the afternoon and he said she was out of surgery but was pretty tired.
I woke up to a text pretty early Tuesday morning that stated that my mom was getting to go home. The doctors were amazed at her recovery but we knew prayers were being answered. Amber and I went running again that morning. It was yet another beautiful morning. It started off a little cloudy and I questioned whether it would rain or not but by the end of our run, the sky was a beautiful blue. A few people from school/Bible study went to Athens in the afternoon to celebrate Beth's birthday. We had lunch at Transmet, walked around downtown, went and got pedicures, and then went to Cracker Barrel for dessert. We had such a fun time. Afterwards, I made a quick visit to my parent's house to see Momma before she went to sleep for the evening. The day didn't end there. The Dillards, the Millers, Beth, Jeremy and I went to El Real for dinner and trivia that evening where we won 2 rounds. We finally went home and were able to sit down, but we sat down and put together one of the Ikea pieces. By the time we got into bed, we were exhausted because we never stop.
Wednesday, I went on a run and then went to meet Jeremy for lunch before giving a Promethean presentation to some of his teachers. He said I did well during the presentation. The teachers just got the boards two days ago so they haven't been able to play with them a lot, so most of the information was probably over their heads. I wasn't nervous and I am definitely not an expert by any means, but I had fun! We finished off the evening at the Dillards and ate dinner. It's become a weekly tradition to eat with them, which we enjoy thoroughly.
Thursday, I went with Amber, Riley, Miriam, Micah, and Patton to Athens to Bear Hollow. It was a neat "zoo". We watched the bears for a long time before heading to a nearby lake to see the ducks and geese. Before heading home we enjoyed a tasty lunch at Chick-fil-a.

That evening we made lasagna for dinner and took some to Momma and Daddy. Then we headed over to Amber and Trey's to eat. It was a relaxing evening.
Amber and I went running on Friday morning only to have to turn around before we got to the end of our trail because it started raining. Although it was a quick moving storm we didn't want to risk it and so we just headed back to the car. I left the park and headed straight to my parent's house to help my mom. She had a doctors appointment and wanted her hair washed. Since she can't take a shower for two weeks, Martha got her these really neat shower caps. Inside the cap there is water and shampoo and it doesn't have to be rinsed afterwards. It was quite an interesting experience. Later on that evening, I headed to Parkview for the state track meet. We registered a few kids for the meet so that took up most of the evening on Friday.
I headed back to Parkview early Saturday morning for more of the track meet. The coaches were told we couldn't be on the field at all. It's a middle school track meet and we can't coach our kids?! I was pretty frustrated because their still learning and need help from time to time. Oh well.
