Gulf Shores Plus Lee-Labor Day Weekend Trip

Family trips are some of my favorite memories of my life. Our Gulf Shores, Labor Day weekend trip was yet another memorable time. We got there just in time for a tropical storm. Yippee. It was an eventful weekend. Although we stayed inside most of the time, there were moments of beach, pool and sun.

Jana got to come along. We headed down after school on Friday while the rest of the family went down Friday morning. One day, Jana and I even got to take a little stroll down the beach in between the rain and wind. The car rides were most enjoyable. On the way we had some good conversations about life, love, and basketball since we are getting to coach together this year. We planned out what we are doing for tryouts and everything!
love these boys
Eating on the floor is the easiest thing to do for one year olds!
Crab sandwich anyone?

P's always eating!

Jeremy went by my favorite cupcake place and got some treats for the trip.

Planking on a totem pole- Yes, she's a pro and she's my friend. Owling was the dream for the totem pole but it wasn't sturdy enough.
This chair got covered up by the sand while we were there. The wind, tide, and waves were that bad!
Our lovely leak in the bathroom. You can see where we popped it at the top and it filled up a second time.
Look closely and you will see a little crab under the end of the board. He's there, we saw him!

We finally got to get out of the house for a meal and ate at LuLu's (Jimmy Buffett's sister's restaurant).
love these two-

bestie- and probably my favorite picture of us

A game where you swing the ring and try to get it to latch on to a hook. We didn't succeed.
Agreed.

We actually had to squint a few times on the trip because the sun did come out to play a few minutes!
Beach Mouse House from the beach.

My view of the pool when it was sunny.
The sun didn't last too long. You see Jana acting like a turtle to hide from the rain.

Sunday night we went to Lambert's.
