Since it's that time of year again, I thought you might enjoy a picture of how I stay warm during the cold months... One night I was freezing and couldn't get warm so I put on my hood from the shirt I was wearing. That didn't help too much so I added my snuggie that I got last year. The snuggie was getting in my way so I rolled up the sleeves and put on a belt so it would stay put! Jeremy said I looked like a monk. Now it's time to get back to our Christmas adventures.
We always have a Christmas party at school. We sit by our grade level and we are in charge of decorating our table. Here are my 6th grade colleagues!

Guillebeau decided to have a little fun with the decorations and put them on! Find the holly in her hair!

The Sunday before Christmas we always celebrate with Jeremy's dad side of the family. We eat lunch and exchange gifts. Fun times were had by all. Jeremy and I received some money and giftcards.
Christmas Eve is probably just as fun as Christmas day. We've always gone up to see my mom's family. We eat, have the kids recite poems/verses and tell the Christmas story, sing songs, and then open presents from the person who drew our name.
me and Micah- He is getting to be so big. He took charge and kept announcing to the family what we were going to do next. He even stood in his chair and prayed for us. Man I love him too much!

We always sing 12 Days of Christmas. This was my part this year. I made my uncle, Jamie, sing it with me! We've used these cards forever. We take them up after we sing and use them again the next year. It's something my grandmother started and we have continued it.

Auntie Martha and Patton
Corrine and Terren inspecting a gift. The Rosbury kids helped my parents put up their tree this year. Terren fell in love with my mom's tree skirt and asked if she could wear it. She wore it to Publix, to church, and to Paw-Paw's this season!!
Rowan's so excited about his gift. You will notice both he and Micah have matching shirts with their initial on it. They got the shirts from Tuesday Claus.

Cynthia drew my name and got me some really neat decorative things for the house, a book, and a blanket. Stacy drew Jeremy's name and got him a giftcard to Home Depot!
Grown-up Christian! He's taller than most of us now... sigh... I can't believe I have a 14 year old nephew who is taller than me!

Jeremy volunteered to help out with Grace's Christmas Eve service at the Gwinnett Arena this year. He helped set up for it on Christmas Eve-Eve and then had a dress rehearsal on Christmas Eve. He didn't know the rehearsal would take all day though. Due to the above, he was unable to make it to Paw-Paw's this year. It was a sad thing, but he enjoyed getting to help run stage camera.
Daddy and I left Paw-Paws about 3:30 and headed to the Arena for the Christmas Eve service. The Kindig's sat with us, but Jeremy's family couldn't find us because of my bad directions on where we were sitting. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the service and Jeremy did a great job!
After the Christmas Eve service we went over to Tami and Andy's house to have Christmas with Jeremy's mom side of the family.
We also drew names here. I had Ansley's name and Jeremy had Tiffany's name. We both received giftcards. We love giftcards!

Jeremy loved the bag where his giftcard resided.

The girls- Jeremy's cousins, his mom, and his aunt

Christmas morning we slept until about 10 because we were exhausted from the previous day. My family came over about 10:30, since we got to be in charge of hosting everyone for Christmas this year. Jeremy and I opened our presents to each other when everyone else was here since we didn't do it before they got here.
We started making gingerbread houses last year. Here are the houses from this year. We didn't end up making one this year because we were so busy. The competition is getting more difficult so we will have to step up our game next year.
Here is Miriam and Stacy's- Robinson Ranch
Here's the Rosbury gingerbread village- complete with houses, a post office, and a church!

Tuesday Claus brought me a wreath one week. Isn't it beautiful?!
Back: Micah, Terren, and Corrine
Front: Rowan, Patton, and Aiden
Daphne and Cary... oh wait there's Rowan. I love it that he sat there most of the time! He's too cute.

Daddy with Christian and Stacy-- I guess Daddy stayed there and people filled in the seats beside him through the day!

Daddy thought it would be fun for the cousins to draw names this year. He took them shopping and gave them $15 to pick out something they thought the person would like. The kids had so much fun with this. Some got good gifts while others were pretty funny. Micah had Christian's name and knew what he wanted to get but couldn't find it. Instead, he got a Toy Story 3 bouncy ball, a little school bus book on wheels, a magic 8 ball... for a 13 year old! Miriam took it back and helped him find something a little more appropriate! Aiden got some fun things too. She got a bird and all kinds of random PINK things! Her sister was probably thinking about things for herself than for what Aiden might like!! It was so fun to see what they picked out for each other. It made us all laugh.

We got T an art set. Corrine asked her later if she would share it. Terren said, "No." Man, we should have gotten both of them a set. I know Daphne would have loved having so many drawing things in her house! After lunch, Terren asked for some paper and got right to drawing.

Momma and Daddy got me this cool fleece mask. You can wear it so many different ways. This is my favorite and the way I will probably wear it at school to keep me warm at recess!

Owl update: Jeremy announced that Maverick had gotten ahold of the owl and tore him to shreds and all that was left was the stick. He held up the stick to let everyone see. He said he was going to give the stick to my dad because he is the one who originally started passing the owl around. My dad said he didn't want the stick!! Everyone was shocked. Jeremy then asked if anyone wanted to see the remains of the owl in the trash. People said no, but then one of the kids wanted to so then everyone decided they needed to see the remains. That's when I went and pulled out the owl from hiding and said just kidding! The Rosbury's will have the owl for this year. They have all been sick with the flu lately and so I think they will enjoy the owl for a little while.

My whole family gave us a basketball goal. YAY!!!! Jeremy was going to get me one and my parents said they had already gotten it, so he had to think hard at the last minute to figure out what he was going to get me. He did good with the nook though! Oh, he also got me a nerf shield and sword so I could protect myself from his nerf and airsoft guns.

My family!

Maverick loves his new pillow/bed from Cindy and Jeff! He got to spend part of Christmas relaxing!

After everyone left our house around 2:30 or 3, we headed over to Jeremy's mom's. We got a mantle clock, a s'more holder to put over a fire, some clothes, and some money.
We went over to Jeremy's grandparent's house on Christmas night. We ate dinner and opened presents. We got giftcards and some other things we are excited about using! Jeremy got a thermometer so we can see the outside temperature without having to look it up on the internet or our phone! Perfect!!!
Thanks everyone for our gifts and cards. We love you! Merry Christmas!
